Project Manager
Katie Gengler, P.E., is a seasoned Professional Engineer with over nine years of experience in civil engineering site design. She has worked extensively in private land development, providing consulting services for complex projects across New York City, including commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments. As a Technical Director at AKRF, Inc., Katie led projects in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, overseeing design and permitting for multi-building developments, film production campuses, and infrastructure systems. Her expertise includes stormwater management, utility routing, sewer and water design, and construction permitting, with a strong focus on compliance with city regulations such as NYCDEP and NYCDOT.
Katie’s experience spans both private and public sector development, including her role as Deputy Project Manager for the NYCDEP’s Office of Green Infrastructure, where she conducted site assessments and hydraulic analysis for over 2,500 bioswale locations. Her work also includes producing detailed construction documents for stormwater management, grading, utility relocations, and erosion control. Katie holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Virginia and is known for her leadership in managing complex projects from concept through construction.
