Amanda Swor

Director of Land Use & Entitlements

Amanda combines an unmatched understanding of the City of Austin Code of Ordinances, as well as those of other Central Texas entities with a deep personal and professional commitment to making Austin and Central Texas a better place to live and work. As a Director of Land Use and Entitlements, Amanda represents owners and developers from the beginning to the end of the entitlement process, managing zoning, site development permits, density bonuses, subdivision, vested rights, and variance request cases.

Amanda specializes in code interpretations and moving zoning, site development, and subdivision permitting through the City process with a minimum of unexpected cost or delay. She also works with City staff, boards and commissions, the City Council, environmental groups, and neighborhood associations as she guides various real estate projects to completion. These include:

  • Multi-family projects
  • Office and industrial projects
  • Mixed-use projects
  • Planned Unit Developments
  • Retail shopping centers
  • Infill development and re-development

Amanda and her team monitor policy changes and urban planning in the City of Austin and surrounding municipalities as part of risk mitigation. Her combination of skills and experience, plus the relationships she’s built throughout her career, strengthens her ability to manage programs and projects while helping to ensure cost-effective development.

When she’s not working, Amanda stays busy with her husband, Trey, their children, Caleb and Avery, and her ongoing involvement with boards and non-profit organizations in the Austin area.
