Austin Chamber names 2024 Board Leader
The Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce has announced Rudy Garza, president of Garza EMC LLC, as the chair-elect for 2024, following the tenure of 2023 chair Ali Khataw, president of Encotech Engineering Consultants. Garza, a former assistant city manager, will take on the influential position, working with chamber members and civic leaders to tackle key regional issues, including education and transportation. Khataw, who has led Encotech since 1990, is focused on addressing Austin’s challenges such as workforce development, mobility, and affordability.
Additionally, the Chamber introduced 12 new board members, including Michelle Glaze from Samsung Austin Semiconductor, and other prominent local business leaders. These members will serve two-year terms starting in January 2023.
