These 25 Austinites Want to Make the City a Better Place; Inaugural Class of ATXelerator Unveiled

The Center for Austin’s Future has launched its first cohort for the ATXelerator program, aimed at mentoring new civic leaders and encouraging private sector involvement in local governance. The inaugural class includes 25 individuals, representing each City Council district, with a focus on diversity. The program offers training in areas like transportation, land-use, and public safety, culminating in a pitch competition. The initiative is supported by a broad advisory board of former mayors, City Council members, and business leaders, and is designed to foster civic engagement and develop future leaders for local office.
