Hotel, Condo, Stores Proposed for South Lamar Site where Taco Cabana Once Stood

A mixed-use development is planned for the corner of South Lamar Boulevard and West Riverside Drive in Austin, previously home to a Taco Cabana. The project includes an eight-story building with a 107-room hotel, 25 luxury condominiums, retail and office space, and a restaurant. The development will have two buildings, an underground parking garage, and amenities like a pool and public plazas. The historic Paggi House restaurant will remain on-site. The project is led by C12 Capital Management and owned by Huston Street’s 16 Piggybank LTD, with details still under negotiation.
