Two large redevelopment projects in Austin’s East Riverside neighborhood are set to go before City Hall. Wildhorn Capital aims to transform the Patten East Apartments into a mixed-use complex with 1,000 apartments and retail space. Similarly, Anthony Clarke plans to redevelop the Altura Apartments into 1,200 new units with retail and office space. Both projects will increase density and include affordable housing components. City Council will review the zoning changes on May 2, in alignment with the East Riverside Corridor’s future development and light rail plans.
