North Austin Radisson set for Redevelopment; Haven for Young Lifestyles to Pop Up Around it

A vacant North Austin hotel is set to be transformed into a mixed-use development by ASAP Austin LLC. The project involves renovating the 293-room Radisson Hotel Austin – University into a new hotel brand, while also adding up to 1,000 apartments and 40,000 square feet of commercial space. The 8-acre site, located at I-35 and U.S. Route 290, was rezoned by the Austin City Council in February 2024. The residential units will feature two- to three-bedroom layouts, with plans for a building height of up to 200 feet and 966 parking spaces. The property was acquired by ASAP from a previous owner in 2022 for $37.6 million.
