North Austin Radisson set for Redevelopment; Hundreds of New Apartments to flank it

ASAP Austin LLC has received approval for the second reading of a rezoning request to redevelop the vacant Radisson Hotel Austin – University site. The project, located at I-35 and U.S. Highway 290, will include up to 1,000 apartments, 40,000 square feet of commercial space, and a rebranded Delta by Marriott hotel with amenities like a Starbucks and a celebrity chef restaurant. The residential portion will offer two- to three-bedroom units, with 10% designated as affordable housing. The project also includes 966 parking spaces and will use the existing parking structure. The rezoning request is still awaiting a third reading by the City Council.
