110-Acre Round Rock Project Wins First Rezoning OK
A 110-acre mixed-use development is moving closer to fruition in Round Rock, near the Kalahari Resort and Dell Diamond. Indianapolis-based developer Milhaus secured unanimous City Council approval on Aug. 26 to rezone the site for a combination of multifamily residences, townhomes, retail, maker spaces, and park areas. Known as the Kenney Fort North Planned Unit Development, the project could feature up to 1,500 housing units and several hundred thousand square feet of commercial space, with completion targeted within five to seven years. The $250-$300 million project aims to complement Round Rock’s growing entertainment district and align with the city’s efforts to increase density. Development will include contributions from partners such as ArchCo Residential and Lionheart Places, promising a flexible, market-responsive design for the constrained site.
