First Look: Generational Commerical Properties Putting Offices, Restaurants, Rooftop Decks next to Zach Theatre

Generational Commercial Properties has received approval to build Zilker Point, a seven-story office tower at 218 S. Lamar Blvd. in Austin. The 195,000-square-foot building will include office space, retail, a rooftop deck, an art gallery, and wellness-focused features like hospital-grade HVAC systems. The project aims to benefit the community with a public plaza, parking, and shared spaces with the nearby Zach Theatre. Despite pandemic-related challenges in the office market, developer Joe Llamas remains confident about the project’s success. Construction is expected to begin in 2021.
