Plans Revealed for Tower with Luxury Hotel, Condos Overlooking Lady Bird Lake

The Loren Hotel Group plans to develop an eight-story luxury hotel and condominium project, The Loren at Lady Bird Lake, at 211 S. Lamar Blvd, next to the Zach Theatre. Slated for a 2022 opening, the project will feature 108 hotel rooms, 26 condos, a rooftop restaurant, event space, spa, gym, pool, and retail space. The site, previously home to Taco Cabana and Pollo Tropical, was bought by C12 Capital Management in 2019. The project aims to attract both international travelers and locals, with condos priced over $1,000 per square foot. It will also contribute to parkland and affordable housing development in Austin.
